I have no opinion. I never wear sweaters, ugly or not.

I think life is too short to worry about what other people think! We had ugly sweater contests when I worked and it was fun. No one was forced to participate. Our friends have a party each year and the sweaters are hilarious. My gal pals and I have an ugly sweater dinner. Yours sounds adorable! Wear it and enjoy

I am not a sweater person, but I would decorate a sweatshirt for an ugly sweater party. I think the tackiness is what makes them interesting.

I think they are fun for the season they represent. I am not much of a sweater person but I like sweatshirts very much and some of them fall in this category. A group I belong to does a craft show in November each year. A couple of years ago I made pillows out of 'ugly sweaters' and they sold very well. It was a fun project. So, wear your ugly sweater for a year or so and enjoy the looks and comments of others and then, re-purpose it.

I have a sweatshirt with a big white cat that has a grumpy look on his face, antlers tied to the head, sleigh bells necklace, and the nose in the shape of a heart colored red. The caption.."Rudolph, the red nosed reincat". Wear it every year.

It is the style to wear ugly sweaters! I have a bunch of them in the attic that I considered Beautiful back in the 1980's! (ha ha...I still do !)

The one most requested to borrow from my kids is the Pink Flamingos wearing santa hats standing by Palm Tree's with hanging ornament balls dangling from the trees. ))

Your cat sweater sounds adorable...if it brings you Joy, then wear it.

People who wear ugly sweaters because they like to see the reactions of others have a great sense of humor. I'd rather see an ugly sweater that gave me something to tell my friends about and made for good memories than see a beautiful blue turtleneck on someone. Go for it!

In this crazy world...wear it and have fun! We need to lighten up and give ourselves permission to do so. Enjoy your sweater!

I don't understand why it would be called ugly. I do know there are some that are over the top and really are ugly but yours sounds cute and very christmasy. Those were mom's favorite clothes at Christmas.
