I used to wear them when I taught second grade. The kids loved them. One principal had 30 of them! One for every day of December. I still have a few and wear them if the temps here get cool enough.
If you like it, wear it. Who cares what other people think? Just make yourself happy. I figure if my clothes are clean, mended, unwrinkled...that’s enough and if someone doesn’t like what I’m wearing, they can take a hike.

I love when people wear them. To me it's like fashion rebellion :-)

I don't wear ugly Christmas sweaters, because they are, well, ugly.

I also am one that thinks life is too short to worry about what others think. Have fun & wear your sweater.

why do they call them ugly??? What's ugly about them? I think they are very creative, but then again, i think crazy quilts are fantastic. It's the crazy quilt of the sweater mfgs. to me, they are not ugly but creative. A green and orange sweater is ugly to me. the shirts have cute motifs and baubles. Life is too short to try to fit in with everyone else. This time of year, wear something decorative.

Ugly Christmas sweaters are to make people smile, either for them or against them, you must admit they do make you smile.

I like sweaters! But somewhere the sweater thing turned from 'fun Christmas clothing' to 'ugly sweater'. I have a couple of beautiful skiing sweaters that I proudly wear.

But I saw sweaters in Target today that were marketed as 'ugly sweaters'...and boy were they awful. Purposely made to look garish and jarring. I suppose if it's all about making people laugh and smile it could be a fine thing, but to me it just seems like materialism taken a bit to far!

I would rather spend my money on more fabric!

Our family had a lot of fun with ugly sweaters last Christmas, we will probably do it again this year. I am going to embroider something from the movie Christmas Vacation for my Husband. His favorite movie!

I do not like them but if you like it

them and it makes you happy, wear it. Life is too short to bypass a little joy.

While i often get a chuckle out of ugly sweaters on other people, I just can't wear one. I don't like looking silly, or drawing attention to myself. I was never fond of dressing up crazy for homecoming days in high school, either... Have never dressed for halloween in my adulthood... usually try to blend in... not stick out.
