Do you have a problem when it comes to opening containers that are sealed with that new, tough plastic that is almost impossible to tear? Well, I do! Was attempting to open a bottle of Potassium and couldn't get that darn thing to budge. Even my paring knife wouldn't get under it. So, I went to my sewing room to get a real pointed pair of snips. Before I even opened the drawer for the misc. stuff, I spotted the pin cushion. Stuck it under the plastic at the bottom of the lid, then pulled it all the way around. Bottle open=struggle over.

    Thank God for Quilters!

I've used my seam ripper for this before.

I often use my seam ripper to open various items.
