chicken wire should do it. There's a raccoon that visits my back yard or it's in his path homeward bound. any way he uses the top of my yard drainage box for a litter box, crazy thing, I poured bleach and then ammonia in it this stopped him for a few days, but he is back..

I'm trying to get rid of a groundhog family. Initially, just saw mama (or papa) but a few weeks ago saw a little one sampling the herbs that grow around my patio. They seem to be to smart to go into the "have a heart" traps.

When you come up with a solution to keep moose of the a yard--I'd really like to hear about it--other than an expensive fence.

This reply is terrific!!!!!!!!!! made me LOL Besides the chicken wire or even a finer wire [to keep their new off spring out] who's that weird guy on tv with little teeth that tackles raccoons, etc?? He is too weird for my taste so I would go for the small wire Or, mail them to your worst enemy?????

This might gross some people out, but I know someone to keep gophers out of their yard will pour human urine in their holes . . . apparently they smell a prey animal and vacate the area for a time>

I would find a stream or creek and long ways off...and also use chicken wire....because, surely, he has told his friends!
Do you have a nature center in your area.....not too close....they would like to have them.

once was enough for that bullfrog, never saw one so big. I guess he likes your house, and you were friendly last time. put a little French flag at the entrance to the drain.

This IS a nature area! Or at lest its a horse ranch with many ponds, ditches etc! Ridgefield has a wonderful bird sanctuary (They are probably full as far as frogs go) and each new road construction job puts in new big ponds and wildlife areas. Nope, afraid we've got them and prevention is the only way! *sigh* Its the price of living in paradise!

Why can't you put a screen over the drain so they can't get in?

Please don't hurt the frogs, they are doing what frogs do. There must be a simple solution that doesn't involve killing yet another innocent creature that happened to get in the way through no fault of their own.
