Cute idea! Love the fabric and such a unique way to wrap up a gift. This caught my attention as my favorite holiday is Halloween too. You are so creative and thanks for sharing a wonderful idea.

I forgot to add that DD is learning to quilt, so she will most likely keep the fabric.

Cute fabric, something I have also done in the past, put just for sewing friends. What amazes me is that her birthday is in November and the gift is ready and wrapped!!

so, so cute. i'd stipulate that the receiver give the fabric back if they don't want it and you'll make something new of that next year. Cute idea!

I do this, when making a quilt for their bed I make a matching pillow case or two.

Furoshiki is the Japanese art of wrapping packages in cloth. There are plenty of websites to check out the different wraps, none which require sewing.

[QUOTE=Iceblossom;8283480]Great fabric and solution to your problem.

A number of years ago I made a variety of reusable bags out of Christmas fabrics. Just simple large envelopes really with drawstrings. Now we find a bag that fits the gift and then just reuse the bags within the family/QUOTE]

That’s exactly what my DILs family uses at Christmas. Her mother made a variety of sacks in different sizes and fabric and they sure are fun to use.

My daughter loves the cloth gift bags I make for her--she recycles.

Aww, that is perfect fabric for DD. Gotta love when things like that just pop up and grab ya! I have used large pieces of fabric for Christmas presents that are odd sizes or really big. I cut coordinating strips for bows as well.

This is what I’ve started to do as well. Each year I make a few more and they get added to our collection.[QUOTE=jmoore;8283834]
