    If you cannot decide, then you are not ready to give them away. Pack them up and put them away for a pre-determined amount of time. When the time is right to make a quilt or give them away, you will know.

    I agree with GrammaNan. Now just may not be the time to do anything. {{{{{Huge Hugs}}}}}

    When my husband passed away, I gave his clothes to a charity shop, including all his shirts. I regret every day sending his shirts, when I see the lovely quilts people make out of shirting.I would think about it for a while longer.

    When my husband passed away 13 years ago, I too gave his things away. My oldest son took some things. But I couldn't bear to keep the shirts and make something of them, because every time I looked at those shirts I remembered him being so sick; couldn't think of the good times. I have never regretted it; I still have the wonderful memories in my heart.

    I would hang onto them.

    I just gave my DS dad's one and only Stetson hat he bought when he was 50, our neighbor got his old coveralls because he is the same size as my dad was and I can no longer wear them, and my DD kept her grandpas good jacket because she was not given the only thing she wanted which was his coffe cup. I still have the only swimming trunks I ever saw my dad in and a,m trying to figure out how to incorporate them into a quilt. They have sharks on them. Sure wish I had some of his shirts to make a quilt. Dad would have been 93 yesterday. He's been gone 5 1/2 years.
