Mine broke today with 3 batches of dough to bake. It is too late for Christmas however I am looking for an electric cookie shooter, press, gun. They were made by Wearever, Montgomary Ward and Sears in the 1980/90. Will trade or buy.

My Mom had one of those, and I'd completely forgotten its existance, don't know what happenned to it. Now I want one. I've been thinking of getting a cookie press since I needed to do a lot of cookie baking for XMAS but now that I remember there was one that was automated instead of the "hand squeeze" type, I'm definetly thinking im going to have to go the legacy route... I forgot how cool that thing was - and useful!

One of my best memories was helping my Aunt Virginia make Spritz cookies but her cookie gun was a manual. I don't think I've ever seen an electric one but now I want one of those. My manual one is on its last legs this year. Thanks for the memory and the heads up. Now I've gotta get me one of those puppies. :-)

If you are not picky about what shape your cookies are use a large star tip in a decorator bag. squeeze the dough out as you would a drop flower on to parchment paper. sprinkle with colored sugar. you might have to make your dough a bit softer. i've made mine like this for years.
