That exact thing happened to a friend of mines, 76 yr old mother. They got into her contacts, and mailed to all of them this same thing............the sad part is 5 of her friends mailed the $3000 to that email.

I replied to an email about receiving a package because I was expecting one. I realized it was "off" as soon as I got there. I'm rather surprised at me that I opened it in the first place!

On a different, serious note, I received child porn in my email. I called the FBI (I first called locally, and to my ISP, and was told that is where I should call.) and got the run-around. They did not take me seriously. I was forwarded through several voice-mail links, etc. I finally gave up after spending about six hours trying to reach someone.

I marked the sender as "spam" and did not get any more of it, but it really upset me that I was trying to help and was not taken seriously. Especially since I've read articles about "ordinary" people helping bust big porn rings.

It had the official Chase logo etc. but there was just something about it I didn't like. So...he called Chase and they said it's a scam...do NOT reply to it at all...not even to tell them to go jump off a bridge...lol. Anyway...the next month came and went and he still had access to the account. A couple of weeks ago I got the same exact email from the same person. Funny thing is...we refinanced our mortgage so it is no longer with Chase.

I'm a member of several candlemaking/soaping boards and just about everyday someone posts email scams they receive...mostly giving them a long story about receiving products that were broken and want them replaced. Most of them delete the emails OR request that the package be returned to them with the receipt so they can inspect it. Of course they never hear another word from them.

Too many people with too much time on their hands that they can sit around and think up this stuff.
Seems to me people that are smart enuf' to think of that kind of stuff could do well in a REAL job. Hmmmm....

I have my own email address in my contact list so if someone sends scams to everyone on my list I also get the scam. It happened once so I emailed everyone right away to disregard the email.

It is called Radiant Suns by Cara Gulati. You can Google "Doodle Press" for her patterns & templates. Most fun quilt I've ever made. The blocks were so much fun and addictive that I ended up making a king sized quilt, because I couldn't quit making the blocks. Makes a cute baby blanket with flannels too. I'll try to send bigger photos, Never done it, so I'll see if I can figure it out.
