    Same here . I don't wash most fabric before piecing, except flannel to be used with other fabric in a project.

    a special on TV earlier showed you should wash everything you bring in your house whether to wear or use because of who handled it before it was packaged; tests were done on new packaged textiles and the amount of e-coli and fecal matter was unbelievable plus other bacteria

    Relatives laughed at us when we bought a new refrigerator and washed the inside before putting food in it. Have you ever seen people open doors and sneeze inside thinking nothing of it then shut the door? We wash everything!

    That's interesting. Do you feel that quilt fabric is more apt to be clean than clothing fabrics?

    I have to wash all new clothes, otherwise I'm itchy and often get a rash where the garment touched me.
