    This sure brings back memories. I made these back in the 1960's. I made them just like this. I also made a heel end by folding up one pointed end on each and tacking it up to the elastic.

    When my mother was in the nursing home, we had to buy slippers with non-slip soles. Most older residents can not get on their feet without these kind of soles. Most nursing home rooms do not have carpet, so these non-skid soles are for the residents' safety as well as an aid to standing from a sitting position.

    I can't believe it. I made these almost 50 years ago. Easy to make and they help to keep your feet warm.

    These are cute... Slippers are always too hot for me.. most people wear slippers to keep their feet warm.. but I don't need fuzzy-wazzy, I just need something to put on.. these will be perfect!!
