Gosh we're getting a cold front to put us down to the low 30's in Florida but nothing like you poor people are going thru. Hope things get better soon altho a day of sewing is fun when unexpected and you have plenty of fabric. Enjoy and stay well and warm. Sue

When I worked, we lived 52 miles away. Most of my driving was on country roads so when it snowed, for the most part, they didn't get plowed. There were two big hills...for the life of me I never understood...they would sand the uphill part but never the downhill part. I made that 52 miles in a snow storm just once. After that ordeal, I told them if I even saw one snowflake not to expect me at work and I kept my word. lol When it would start to snow while I was at work...out the door I went. People here in Oklahoma City, for the most part, don't know how to drive on snow and ice and my life is worth more to me!!! Everyone...stay warm and most of all, stay safe!!!

Rained here all last night changing to sleet then snow about 4:30 a.m. Drive home at 7 a.m. Was horrible. Roads were really slick. Now it is -8 with wind chill about -30. Came to work in layers and will go home that way. Can't wait till spring. Only 9 weeks and 5 days. Lol.

I am a few counties west of the OP in Pulaski county and we are under travel warnings too. We got about 10 inches of snow. ugh. And it was blowing all day. I took the dog out and by the time I got back in and got unbundled the footsteps in the snow were pretty much covered over. The temp is lower than last night but no wind, thank God. It's -13 right now. Wind chill was about -40 all day.
I'm looking forward to the end of the week and 37 degree highs.

Here in UK as a result of your snow the west and south coasts especially are having high tides and plenty of rain. Some have been moved from their homes due to street and village floods. Looking at areal pictures you can see how clever our ansesters were when they built there cathedrals, homes etc. on high ground.
Round by me no real floods but high winds 70 mph gusts and plenty of rain. Warmer than normal except when the wind blows.

Here in Indiana we got to 15 below 0 with windchill 40+ below. High yesterday was 7 below 0 and several inches of additional snow on the ground, with wind 35 mi hr. winds. Everything is closed yesterday and today. Only emergencies to be on the roads. Today so far we are at 0 degrees. Not good.

Most of my family live in Ft. Wayne. I was getting all kinds of photos from them on Facebook. I remember the blizzard of "78". Miss my family but not the weather. Ironic down here in south Texas my car really didn't want to start but with "a few words of encouragement" it started. The high here is suppose to be in the low 30s and tomorrow in low 60s. Hate that. No wonder people get sick. Wreaks havoc on body core heat. JoAnn's always have pretty good sales. Keep warm.
