Default this water pool is FUN, come on in!!

Had to snap this picture of Brown Campbell Walker ducklings through the window; yes, ducks are a bit messy, but enjoyable to raise.

We have an acreage where we raise ducks and chickens...also have two pens of young chicks. And 6 ducks and 21 laying hens that all lay too many eggs. My refrigerator is full of eggs!

Now THAT'S a pool full of ducks! If they get much larger, they'll have to swim in shifts.

Looks like my SIL's yard a couple yrs ago--right down to the pool sitting in the shade of the Pine tree. No more ducks in the yard. To nasty for our friend in a wheel chair. She has many hens and a pair of "Pencil Neck Geese' (sp?) that are the coolest things=Josh an Jenny and then there's Tom and Tammy a pair of wild turkeys that moved in about 5 yrs ago--and are quite the couple. See the rule is once they get names they are family and ya can't eat family!!!

If you like Deviled Eggs, you might consider pickling some. I occasionally boil up a couple of dozen eggs and boil some quart jars. I then make up a batch of Bread and Butter Pickling mix. Peel the eggs, fill up the quart jars with the eggs, and pour very hot (boiling?) pickling mix to cover. Seal the jars and let sit for at least three or four days. When you take out the eggs, they taste like the best Deviled Eggs you've ever eaten - plus there's no mayonnaise or anything else that adds calories - just the pickling mix and the eggs.
