Can I tell you about my skunk episode ?! Dh and I had a skunk meander into our house about 9:30 one evening this past Fall !! Course we were panic stricken while trying to remain calm. The skunk ambled into our living room and curled up under a table like it was there for the night ! My Dh was finally able to softly prod it back out the front door !! And, thank goodness, it didn't spray !! Still can't figure out why we were so blessed - LOL

That is amazing - I can't believe you got him out of there without spraying!!! You would've had to move.... lol!

Yes I know. The smell would have been in the whole house. We were VERY fortunate !

We have skunks in the neighborhood and if it weren't against the law in CA, I would have a descented skunk as a pet (for real) but it is against the law.

Our dogs are too stupid to stop attaching skunks, so we deal with the onslaught of the stench quite regularly. The one time when they actually KILLED one in the front yard, the smell was so bad, that it took over an hour to change to the "normal" skunk smell. OMG it was HORRIBLE. I did learn a lesson though: Wear gloves when bathing dogs - at 2 in the morning I was a little befuddled and washed their faces without gloves.
when we were on the farm, all of our dogs liked to play with the skunks and porcupines. They got sprayed and shot with quills on a regular basis. They were great dogs but none of them ever learned the lesson to stay away from either of these animals. They even had a skunk trapped under my car for 2 days. The skunk wouldn't move and neither would they. At least he didn't spray! I really feel for your husband but no way would I want to be there! Good luck.

Oh no! No thanks. This is for you to solve. It seems you have some previous experience there. Can animal control dart it to put it to sleep?
