Default We Finally Planted Our Garden!

Like so many others we've had a late spring and tons of rain, so it was hard to get into the garden. We finally had a nice day with no rain. We dug out all the dandelion that popped up overnight! Then raked, planted, fertilized, put up the fence to keep out bunnies and kids. We planted 7 tomato plants, 4 peppers, 9 broccoli, carrots, squas and zucchini. Whew! I am sore and worn out!

Oh, but how good that will all taste later on. We have the worst dirt in the country. It is dead. And it sticks together. You can hardly dig it. It sticks to the shovel in clumps. We have 11 tomato plants out. Have a few green tomatoes on, but they may fall off before they get mature. So, so good tho"

I don't plant anything, gets too hot and dry in July and August. Good luck with your garden.

We planted ours last evening, also. I can't believe how much work it was...think I am out of shape this year.
