This is so, so sad! Some may remember back a few months ago, I made a post about my first visit to a LQS and that was Sew Bee It. I was so impressed with the staff and the fabric selection was awesome. I so hope they can rebuild.

There was SO much loss of life all over the south yesterday with 41 deaths in the Chattanooga, TN Television Viewing area.

Early yesterday morning it started here with the first tornado less than 1/4 mile from my home. We are OK but spent most of the day in the basement just in case. The first one surely got our attention. The wind was incredible! All day we had one tornado warning after another, wave after wave. The last ones in the evening were the worst with much destruction and loss of live.

My prayers are with everyone affected by those terrible storms. I hope the owner of the Sew-Bee-It Quilt Shop is able to get insurance help to rebuild and reopen the store. What devastation and damage. Mother nature sure can be cruel. Hope that all our members and their families are safe.

Though this is absolutely devastating, I find it amazing that the classroom appears to be untouched. The water bottles are still standing on the sewing tables, and it looks like there are jackets hanging on the chairs.
Nature just amazes me. I'm glad there were so few injuries.

SO many tornadoes this year already, sunamis, earthquakes, so scarey to me. I worry about all the areas affected. We had one close but no damage. I pray all those in the paths of these wonders of nature are safe. HUGS

Amongst all the other loss there, I was wondering if there were any quilt shops affected by the tornadoes...sorry to hear that there was...it will be a loss of a place for quilters to gather and to shop....unless they decide to rebuild.

So sorry. I too find it amazing how part of the store is completely gone but a few walls remained like nothing happened. I hope the owners can see this as a message to not give up, rebuild and fight. My prayers with them and everyone affected.
