Thanks for starting a new post to let us know his name. It is so sweet that he came and sat on your lap. Maybe if you pick him up and carry him he will like to be held.

I think Chester is a fine name, and I think it fits him well.

What a great choice. We once had a cat called Chester that I found one cold november night on a country road ....he had been hit by a car and I picked him up and took him home.....fortunately the vet found out the next day that he just had a concussion and would recover......well Chester was a real love bug and really got attached to my son. He is the only cat that I have known to put his two paws around your neck and purrrrrrrr. He was a grey tabby and I miss him to this day....We never did find his owner although I tried to find them as he was definitely someone's pet. The unfortunate part is that many people come from outside and dump their animals up here at the nearby farms. You are terrific to have given your Chester such a great home....I wish you many years together he is a real cutie. Bea

Chester is a wonderful name. In fact, it is the name of the gorgeous fella that I use as my avatar. Our Chester is almost 15 years old and is getting a little lax in the jumping department. But there are times that he is just as much a kitten as the day we brought him and his brother, Hairy home. He is by far the most affectionate and personable hair ball we have ever adopted. None of our cats go outside but over the years we often introduced those two as Hairy Houdini and his lesser known, but just as crafty, brother Chester. That cat can SMELL an unlatched door!! Thank goodness he usually just heads to the catnip patch!

You have a beautiful fur baby! I wish you both many many years of purrs and cuddles.
