My family and I are thinking of coming to America in February but we are worried that the weather will still be really cold still. The travel agent says it won't be but I thought I would ask the people who live there. We are planning to go to Las Angeles, Orlando, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina and Las Vegas.
I would love your feedback. Thanks Jackie.

Here is a web site you might like. Just put in a city and it will give you average highs and lows for every month of the year.

Orlando averages are lows in 60's and highs in 70's in February. It's been colder this year though. I actually hauled out a winter coat from my New England days today. It was 28 on my way to work this morning!

There is really a vast difference in temperatures in the U.S. I think South Carolina visit would be the coldest in Feb.

Los Angeles in February is almost perfect weather. It'll be cool (65-70 degrees F) but not cold (forget the swim suits.) Smog is always an issue for me in LA but in February, it should be more tolerable. Think heavy cotton if you're outside.

Las Vegas in February is still pretty chilly (60 degrees F)! Being in the high desert, Las Vegas experiences dry cold -- little, if any snow, but cold, cold winds. BUT, Vegas weather is highly changeable. If I tell you chilly, Vegas will make a liar out of me and turn up the heat to 75 or 80 degrees F. Best to pack for both cold and warm.

Your other destinations are alien territory for me. I hope you have a great trip. Who knows, you might get to meet somme of quiltingboard.com members!

Hi! Here's a website for Las Vegas weather.
    http://www.lasvegasweather.us/lasveg...nfebruary.html

It'll still be nice in Feb. - won't be blistering hot like the June July August!

Sounds like you have a very busy, fun time ahead!

February weather can be cold or warm, dress in layers.

It depends on what you are used to temperature-wise. I'm cold in Myrtle Beach in February, I've experienced heat and cold in L.A. in February and Vegas at 2 am wasn't toasty either. With any luck, it will rain. :0)

I've been to Los Angeles a few times in February when it was rainy. Be prepared. Sounds like you have a nice trip planned. Since you'll be crossing the country you'll get to experience the diversity of cultures.

February in Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Ft Lauderdale, Arizona, and pretty much all the southern states is LOVELY that time of year.

I don't know much about Australia, but I have it in my head you guys are hot-hot-hot most of the time...is that just an assumption?
