October 11, 1975 was a beautiful fall day, warm, leaves on trees were all great colors, lots of great memories with family and friends
The girls dresses were the fall colors.
I just love this quilting board and have met lots of new quilting friends from all over the world. I have met about 59 members so far in person. I have already set up 5 meet and greets in my state of Indiana and sure have enjoyed meeting all of you.
I have met members from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Arkansas, New Hampshire, Montana, Kentucky, New Jersey, Texas, Tennessee (I need to look on my list to make sure I haven't missed any states).
I have also met others at quilt shows, shop hops, out for lunch, met at their houses and of course the meet and greets. Also some of the quilt members traveling thru my state of Indiana and have met them for lunch at Cracker Barrell, fun fun time.
I enjoy setting up the meet and greets in my state and everyone is welcome to attend.
I encourage all of you to set them up and post in the offline section for the date, time and location with city and state.
We usually meet at a quilt shop, out for lunch (at a restaurant with a private banquet room) so we can visit, have show and tell and demonstrations (sometimes others will bring sewing machine for demos). This is a fun day to spend with other quilters and yes we spend $$$ at the quilt shops and have lots of fun.
The quilt shops gives us goody bags, special gifts for door prizes and I give everyone a gift when they attend them.
Everyone is welcome to bring hubbies, friends, family with them to the meet and greets, so much fun!

Congratulations of your 36 years of together commitment. I wish you health and happiness for the next 36 years. I also appreciate all your contributions to this board. I have learned so much from what you have shared.
