I live in WA and am wondering if a knit afghan would be a nice wedding gift for a couple living in Florida. Maybe a light-weight one?

    Thanks for your input!

It does get chilly there, so I think it would be a great gift.
    maybe use bright colors.

It would be great! No need to make it too light weight, as it gets cool.

I have one made by my grandmother and one made by my Mom. I don't use them a lot but due snuggle in to one from time to time.

I use my afghans and quilts in the evenings while watching tv. Sometimes in the summer when the air conditioning is too cold for me.

i lived in south FL for many years and used to knit all kinds of items. it does get chilly in the winter sometimes. and an afghan is helpful when the A/C feels too cold.
