Nutrition Nuggets (from Cook This Not That)
*American has more obese people than overweight people.
*1 medium carrot has 340 percent of your daily vitamin A.
*Whole Wheat flour has 470 percent more fiber than white flour
*Frozen peas have as much as 5 times as much vitamin C as canned peas
*A typical serving of potatoes has nearly 5 times as many antioxidants as a typical serving of broccoli.
*Your blood sugar rises 39 percent less if you toast your white bread.
*Adding blueberries instead of strawberries to your cereal will more than double your antioxidant intake.
*People who eat with napkins in their laps tend to have lower body mass indexes.
I just thought I would share what I have been reading tonight. My order of all six books of the Eat This Not That series arrived today and I have been deeply engrossed in reading them. Fascinating information. They are inexpensive and chocked FULL of information that I might not have otherwise known.
I hope everyone is having a good night!

Sounds gross tastes yummmmmmoooooo, replace milk in the cereal with a cup of coffee.
I used to work with a girl that used orange juice instead of milk as she was lactose intolorant never had the courage to try it myself. I love coffee but not sure I'm brave enough to try it on cereal. Something new to think about.
Ok here's my gross sounding/good tasting favorite. I put coffee on my oatmeal. I love it, love it, love it! Of course no butter or sugar! Just one pack of blue!

I find it strange that right above this comment box there is a photo of Jillian Roberts with the question "How BIG is your weight-loss goal? I would have to chose the last box., for 50 lbs or more. I am making this a very long term weight loss challenge for me becuase I do have hypothyroidism and I do not lose weight very quickly. However, I do feel that since Sunday i am doing well and feeling very confident since I have not cheated at all. Have been eating breakfast each day properly, having lunch and not snacking. It is a good thing my husband and I like fish as much as we do. I find it easier to cook than if i had to cook beef. I am not a creative cook. There have been 5 food groups in my house sinceI've been married these past 15 years.... (1) eat out (2) frozen (3) microwave (4) invited to my sister's house for dinner and (5) hubby cooks. I have never been one to stress about cooking dinner, my talents were always elsewhere, in the sewing room, or taking care of my cats and my husband. I hope I can keep this up for the year it will take to lose this 50 pounds i wish to drop.
