CarolJ I'm in Victorville and it's also hot here and I walk in the a.m. my 1 1/2 miles in a park close to our home. Also try to walk again in the evening just before sunset unless it stays to hot. But like Gwyn I had to be uncomfortable so if it's to hot I tend to skip the evening walk.
I got the fabric today for the end of the month because I don't think I can do as well as any of you. But even if it's only a couple of pounds a month it's an improvement. That is after all what we all are working towards.
CarolJ Hope your headache is gone today.

    Hi there,
I see you live in Victorville---I live in Palmdale. Same kind of weather that you have. Hot, hot, hot.

Carol, I have heard the same thing. That we should eat a bit more or have a meal we eat without measuring (Sunday dinner). That may help some people and I am sure it works to help keep that metabolism up. My problem is once I start, I can't stop. I might do really well and only eat 2-3 hundred extra, but the next morning I will want cream in my coffee and coffee cake for breakfast. Sometimes a few extras can trigger a binge that could last several days and I amnever really sure I can stop it.

Seamstome is a person...me! Thanks! I can tell a little. My conmforty capris from a few weeks ago feel a little baggy. Not much but just a little. My goal is to be able to pull these off without unbuttoning them.

Yes you need to vary your caloric intake just a little like you need to change exercise routines to get your body to react. Where I get in trouble over the weekend is that I have too much time on my hands so I nosh all day versus during the week my day is structured.

Donna, it's a poster's moniker. Stay cool today. The news shows it's going to start heating up again. It's hot here, but below the average, and the humidity is gone. It's been in the 70s in the morning. Generally we're at 115+. I remember nights when it's still 110 at bedtime. This summer has been kind this year.

everyone knows frozen grapes, blueberries are great,& easy to freeze. just wash, let dry on p.towel& bag in1bag- comes apart easliy or in snack baggies. ANY FROZEN FRUIT WILL TAKE LONGER TO EAT. had smoothies every breakfast in D.R., never had honey- just chose 2fruits, juice or milk, ice.were very good.
GO out and but the most beautiful LUNCHEON plate that speaks to you. If it(the food) doesn't fit, you're not eating it.

sometimes if you find yourself drawn to food TOO MUCH-- try eating the same thing over & over- boring- you find it easier to stop eating ex.1/2 can tuna w/iceberg lettuce, squeeze of lemon good for luch/supper& low in calories.new food we want to taste& catch how everything blends
