I agree...."finally found" being the key words. I am wondering why they don't erase all of the old threads. Who is still writing on the June 2010 weight loss challenge board anyway? It makes it harder to find the current one when there are so many old ones. I guess I'm just too efficient....a secretary way too long. :)
In the future if you click on my profile and thenclick on posts I started you will find the new thread. EASY PEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not really a recipe but if you like to munch on something healthy take a can of chickpeas & drain & rinse. Then spread them out on a cookie sheet & sprinkle with cagun spices. Roast them in a slow oven until crisp (careful they will burn!) You'll be surprised at how tasty this is.

Good grief people I'm not on for 2 days and I have to catch up in the January one to send my FQ and you all have written 13 pages already! For all of you under the snow, ice, thundersnow storms, rain etc. Be safe! I am in currently boring Florida. It's a blessing to be boring, hurricane season 2011 will be here soon enough... Okay, going to have to get really serious this month, It's a long way up the Great Wall and if I'm going to keep up with my students I've got to be hauling less weight up than I am now!

I have too much snow to shovel so had to call someone to plow it but I did do around the doors. I have started to write down everything I eat to see if that helps me get a handle on the overeating. I crave sweets and carbs. How do I convince myself that veggies taste as good as cake? Can some one brainwash me, please?

No brain washing, but I have found a way to cook brussell sprouts that my husband eats like candy. Most people boil these sprouts until they are mushy-that is the way they were presented to me as a child.
Now, I slice in half (frozen or fresh) put on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with kosher salt, coarsely ground black pepper and fresh chives (I grow my own herbs). Spritz with olive oil and broil until the edges brown-they are delicious. Also, this works well with asparagus-broil just until the green color changes and the spears are still crunchy!
