    Sandy,
My brother is 57 and just had the replacement. He says it was the best thing he ever did, also.

Missy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. You'll make it, just hang in there.

Carrie, send the "bad one" to the wrong school. Get some peace!

    Jennifer, you are doing great!

NannySandy, my second daughter had both her knees replaced before she was 50. She loves her new knees.

Missy, I am praying that your guardian angel sits under on your shoulder and guides though the appointments and procedures.

Carrie, let the teenagers make the WalMart run. Use up some of the excess energy. They'll tell you it's too cold, but if a friend called and said meet me at the store, they'd make it. I managed to walk the dogs and I'm more than four times as old as either of them. At 11 degrees and a wind blowing, we only went a mile, but it got us all out for some fresh air.

On the weight loss front, I went to a buffet luncheon today. I had four kinds of soup, a yummy raspberry dessert and some really good ice cream. Luckily, I couldn't have the bread or brownies because of the gluten, but I still ate too much. I hate that feeling.

Carrie(this suggestion from a teacher) give your teen that would be home a choice: specific housecleaning jobs or go "shadow" your sibling for the day and be on his/her best behavior or they'll spend their weekend cleaning. Hey you might decide to send them both to the same school next year so that child needs to check the school out. Cleaning possibilities seemed to affect positive change in my sons during the teen years :-). Missy praying for you and wisdom for your doctors. NannySandy go for it! So many improvements in knee replacement even girl/boy knees.
Going to do a really strict eating plan for 30 days to get my metabolism reset and burn some of this fat. No sugar or starches except for 2 pieces of Melba toast a day. Got to get really serious to get this body on the right track. HuuRah!!

I am up to 18 minutes of pilates the reason it is only 18 mintues it I switched it up. Even though it a resistance band/cord you could do different things with it that work different areas. What I am doing now I look like I belong in the circus.

Everybody, thanks for your moral support. I appreciate it. I will see how the knee does this month. I am scheduled to go back March 10, unless the pain gets worse, he said to call and come in sooner. The main thing I dread about the knee replacement is the recoup period. But if it comes down to it, I will have it done. I just really really dread it. Thanks again, Sandy

I'm trying to tell myself I'm not on a diet, with diet being a four letter word and all. But I'm also trying to be good. Maybe this reporting in stuff will help as I have never tried that before and so had no one to answer to. I don't like to lie,so I'll have to confess when I'm bad. Like tonight I did so good. A chicken breast, some cooked cabbage, some crowder peas and one teensy little corn muffin. I was so proud of myself, I ate two pieces of coconut cream pie.

DonnaD- you and I are sister soul mates.

I had english muffin for breakfast, ramen soup and applesauce today. Then tonight I had another blueberry pop tart. Those evil things call me at midnight!

Tomorrow is another day. Let's pull up our boots and start over.

    Hugs,
    MJ

Good morning my friends. It's a new day and hopefully it be a great day. I'm going to Paducah tomorrow to meet another QB member. YAY! I'm meeting izaquilter at Hancocks and then we will visit some of the other quilt shops in paducah too. I'm looking forward to it. I need a break.
