A tip on helping with weight loss. Drink more water. You need water to burn fat, plus it fills you up.

Got a question to those who are on steroids. Does it make you hungry and I mean hungry like you are starving all the time? My Dr. put on them to get the swelling down in my ear and last night I felt like I was starving and I feel the same today. This is my 3rd day on them. And does it give you the shakes?

You got it, Carrie. My last round of oral pred cost me 15 pounds that wouldn't leave for the longest time. How are you sleeping? I was wired! Yes, I was starving, but I think the weight goes on whether I eat ot not.

The injectible hasn't effected my sleep and only cost five pounds which is starting to leave after only three weeks. The ortho doctor sail yesterday it is still in my system doing its thing.

I'm still sleeping like a rock and so tired all day. I have to keep moving to stay awake, I think the sleepy part is because I'm still sick. It's been a while since I had taken them but I don't remember being like this in the past. Thank you confirming my what I was thinking.

yes, Carrie, the steroids give me the shakes and make me crazy irritable. I eat all the time. My running brother, he runs 10 miles a DAY, put on 40 pounds in a month on steroids.

I just cannot take them, plus they make my blood sugar go way way way up.

I hope you feel better soon.

Feel better Carrie. I have been on prednisone for my asthma and it does make you very hungry. By the way, there was an article in our local paper this morning about the 4 Ahmish children. How very sad that is. They are in my prayers.

I am here! I have been busy today. I had to take little man back to the Dr. today because he was getting worse. He had a slight ear infection in 1 ear and now it is in both ears and worse. The Dr. we saw today said that the antibiotic he is taking won't work well on ear infections so she changed it. Hopefully it works this time.
I am still not feeling well but I think it is the prednisone that is doing it to me. I only have to take it for 6 days so I think I can suffer thru it.
Thank you for caring about us.
