I wanted to write and say thank you to all who sent me a fat quarter. I received 23 and I tell you it was like Christmas all over again. Each one was beautiful.

I am still watching what I eat. I haven't weighed myself this week, but come Sunday, I'll give it a check and see how I have been doing this week. I am doing my Leslie Sansone one mile walks twice a day, and then I walk Bess every day, so I have been putting in about five miles a day walking, that is in and out!

I have so much more energy now. What surprised the heck out of me was when my husband and I went for an overnight at our local hotel and casino - Treasure Island! I wore a pair of navy blue slacks and a light teal long sleeved knit shirt with a low rounded neckline. It fit perfectly. When I went to iron the slacks yesterday, I noticed they were a size 14. On January 1, I was wearing a size 18. It works, Girls, a rooting section behind you, good intentions in front of you. Keep up with it. It works.

So, again, thank you all so very much. I really appreciated it. I think my husband got a little jealous because he gave me some money and said "Go get yourself some material (I didn't have the heart to tell him, you buy material for a dress, you buy fabric for a quilt!!!!). I did!

Good luck to all of you. I truly mean it and I wish you all the success in the world and don't give up, don't get down.

I am continuing on my quest to get down to 130 lbs. I don't think I will make it, but it sure is a goal.

    Thanks, all of you. Edie

EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!! The skin will shrink if you exercise. If you don't exercise that is when it sags and bags.
Not all skin will shrink with exercise I hate to say.As you age you will lose elasticity in your skin that is why we get wrinkles. If skin has been grossly over stretched it won't bounce back no matter how much you exercise, that is a medical fact.

    Yahoo!

Also remember for those of us who are/were over weight, the skin needs a chance to shrink back even after the weight is gone.

My Dr. told me to do Yoga or any exercise that enlongates the muscles.

I wonder if pilates enlongates the muscles? I also wonder how you could possibly enlongate your stomach muscles.

My daughter says Pilates will work the same way as Yoga, plus the added benefit of a stronger core. The Dr. said that I could avoid a lot of the sagging through exercise.

Donna, what wonderful men you have. How long did it take to train them that way? I LOVE reading your story - I laughed all the way through!

Still having trouble with my knees - no exercise. Can't even stand long enough to wash dishes. While I haven't oogled over any pictures on the board, I have done lots of hand quilting - so much so that my fingers are sore.

If you have wrinkles that hang like bat wings or an apron if it's on your belly, contact trauma centers in your area. Some of them will remove the extra skin at no charge to use for skin grafts for burn victims or other trauma victims. I live in Missouri and there are two hospitals in St. Louis that were doing it still last year. Don't know the names but knew two ladies who had the by-pass that donated skin.
Guess it depends on how much you got... Anyhoo, I get a tummy tuck nearly every day...roll it up and tuck it in my panty hose.
