Tru have a goodl rest and you will feel much better tomorrow. Life can be a b...h sometimes.
Glad you did so well today Missy Keep it up.
Jennifer you look so good keep it up. You have a beautiful family.
Carrie It's a lovely quilt. Should bring a good sum of money.
Hugs to those who are having a tough day and congrats to the ones who have been doing well.
I have lost 3.5 lbs so far but it's been hard. Every time I go into the kitchen I am drawn to the pantry or fridge for a bit of something I don't even want anything just something so out I go as quickly as I can. Dinner tonight is fresh spinach and a frozen dinner. Wish me luck that I don't eat every thing in sight. I'v been hungry since lunch.
    Talk to ya all tomorrow.

Gail - try eating little bits all the time. I take a baggie of cereal (usually chocolate frosted mini wheats) and measure out 1 cup of them. Put them in a baggie and have it in my purse when I go out. It seems to work well to satisfy the chocolate and sweet cravings that I have. I only eat a few at a time - they're full of fiber and only 200 calories. Bring a bottle of water along, they do get a bit dry but they're YUMMY!

Baby carrots and bits of broccoli in a baggie work well too. :)

Jennifer, this tip for mini wheats used to work for me well. Thanks for reminding me of it.

I havent dared get on the scales yet, usually I can tell if I am losing but for some reason I am not getting it yet. I am just hoping its because I have started back to regular excerise and my muscles are storing water/fluid for repair. they are certainly sore. I cant beleive how fast you can lose muscle tone, its only been a few months and I feel like its been a few years since I have worked out. I wont do this to myself again.
I went through the preliminary process to have the lap band. My mom had the lap band done 18 months ago.

I really am trying hard to do this on my own and not with surgery. I know it will take me much longer but the things that my mom has gone through is something I really do not want to happen to me.

    Missy
I had bariatric bypass about 15 months ago and lost almost 80 pounds. Right now I am having a terrible time with craving sweets and the weight is starting to come back. I don't know how to fight it. I am one of the fortunate ( or unfortunate) people who got along so well and had no troubles after the surgery. I do not have the "sugar dumps" so many people get and I can eat any thing if I eat slow. The only problem is Chinese food and meat and I am fine with a few bits of that. I need help with the sugar cravings, big time!!!! Any thoughts?
When I crave sweets I suck on a Tic Tac. They are so small, but last a long time and seem to satisfy (unless all a really want is chocolate)

Personally I think Tru is beautiful and doesn't need to change a thing. If John won't like her for who she is then so be it.
I think you are BEAUTIFUL! Any change that you make should be to feel better about yourself, not for someone else. Send the pic. If it's meant to be, the details will work themselves out. Most importantly, learn to love yourself. Now, that's a lesson we all could learn. Myself included.

Sweet Cravings: First, don't keep the ones you crave in your house. Ban chocolate or ice cream or whatever will get you going. They litterally call you from the cupboard..."I'm here, eat me, you know you want me..." Well, remember what happened when Eve forgot to run the other way? Right and we all bear the brunt of the fall.

Second: Go outside and walk around. Yes, put that coat on and get some fresh air. Your body may be craving energy and sugar is a quick solution. Get a bit of exercise.

Third: Take a shower or soak in the tub. Drink a tall glass of crystal clear water with a slice of lemon in it and plenty of ice - Sonic and McDonalds have the best ice for crunching, in my opinion. Or, find some clean snow and give yourself the thrill of eating it.

Fourth: Go to the local beauty college and have your hair washed and blown dry, get your nails done, have a facial or best of all, a warm oil scalp treatment.

Fifth: Remember...NOTHING tastes as good as being slender(skinny, healthy, under control) feels.

Sixth: If nothing has worked, walk to the second closest convenience store and buy a small package of M&Ms. Eat them slowly as you walk home...then give the leftovers to your kids.

    Does that help?

If you are craving because your blood sugar is low, try brushing your teeth with minty toothpaste. It helps mine come up just enough for me to get a grip.

If your blood sugars are too high or spiking, you may need to be on an oral medication for diabetes.

And you can always go back to tea time for the 3:00 - 4:00 munchy time. This has helped me the most. I am now off sugar and sugary things. Chocolate doesn't even smell right any more. Although, that cup of home made cocoa with a bit of peppermint was really good last night.

Don't get me wrong, I don't do this perfectly, but you asked for suggestions so I gave you a few. Be nice, it is !:00 am and I need to get off the computer and go to bed.
