I do have to say we have a GREAT group this month. Lots of recipies, hugs and encouragement. I think one of the best things about coming here is the recipies, we all got fat eating and to have such yummy food that is healthy is so encouraging. I can eat and lose weight!!!!!! YIPPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the words of cheer. It's such a conundrum this losing weight. We can understand others and their plight but have very little sympathy and patience for ourselves. Carol
    Carol,

I am feeling a bit better. My mom is going to go with me to my appointment on Wednesday with the internist at the hospital. She said she is going to talk to the doc about a second opinion. We shall see though.

You are so right about the patience and sympathy we have for ourselves. I hardly ever say to myself to be good to me and take care of me BUT I always say that to others.

You are absolutely right Tru! We have an awesome group here. It feels like family to me. I love sharing what is working for me and hearing what is working for others. It is just always so encouraging and loving. Such a great group we are!

My jeans zipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I never go out so there is no need for cloths, I mean I don't walk around the house butt naked. If I stayed in PJ's all day it wouldn't make any difference no one visits and it is only me and DD. I wear STRRRRRRRRETCH everything, capris, leggings and for the cold weather sweats. No need for pants but today I decided to try on my jeans. I couldn't have gotten into then with a 3 lb tub of crisco smeared all over me a few months ago and today I could zipper them. :D :D :D OK, OK I wouldn't be able to sit in them or wear them for more then 5 minutes standing but the point it they zipped. There wasn't a 5 inch gap of flesh at the waist like there was the last time I tried them on. I pulled and tugged and the zipper closed.

Face and eyes are good now. Finished the anti-viral meds this week.
I've only lost the 4 lbs I lost last week :( I mean good grief Charlie Brown, I've give up everything white and increased my activity and sit at the same weight for days, weeks, months.... then, I'll lose 1/2 lb. and then back to nothing for a long period of time.
Oh well... I'm still losing... just not the lb/day like I hoped.

Oh hun! Stay encouraged. One thing I have learned all too well is that if I eat something really rich in protein first thing in the morning and a bottle of water with three packets of benefiber in it then I have jumpstarted my metabolism and by the time I am done working out I am starving! So basically my day starts off really good that way. WIth my metabolism going so fast I burn off my snacks and lunch and dinner reallly fast. I did not believe that eating something like activia and a vitatop with the water would really make that much of a difference. It made a HUGE difference. I lost twice the amount per week than I did by skipping breakfast.

    I hope that helps some.
