Woodster: I love sugar free cool whip, but it isn't completely free. I have started mixing it in with regular half & half. My kids haven't noticed a change and it still saves on calories (for all of you out there who swear they can taste the splenda) I use it on my portion straight. Now that Margaret and Sarah both want to loose weight, I will need to mix two smaller bowls and do one with and one without sugar.

I need help with a craving for carbs at night or when I get tired. It is like my mouth is in overdrive. If I give in and have some cereal or cookies, cake, left over rolls, I can lay down and go right to sleep. If not, I might be awake for a few days before I completely drop from exhaustion. Any ideas?
Every night about 1/2 hr before bed, I have one sugar-free fudgesicle. Yummy. The only thing I don't care for is the taste of the stick when you get near the end! It does bring back childhood memories of Dixie cups, though, and that's not so bad!

I weighed in this morning at the hospital and I have now lost a total of 20 pounds! WOOHOO!! My internist is thrilled. Now I am to have the psych eval done really soon. Yeah! I am just so excited this morning. I just had to share!

    Thanks for the idea Woodster.

MissyGirl: I am so proud of you! You seemed so down a few days ago. Make sure you are eating healthy. Your body knows what size it should be and you are now 20 pounds lighter. Go go monthly, right? That is 4 pounds a week. Keep up the great work!

I go every Friday to weigh in except when I have an appointment with the internist or dietician. Since I weighed in today I won't weeight in again until next Friday.

But, yeah, you got the numbers right. I am so happy about that.

I have been feeling discouraged when the numbers are low but it goes away when I weigh in again and see the numbers drop.

    Thank you so much!!

Missy - it has been very difficult to be disciplned, especilly when those munchies hit at night or when i'm tired! Let's just say I've been drinking a lot of plain green tea :). Hopefully I can keep up the staying power but it is definitely difficult! Good for you with your weigh in!!! You are on the right track and are doing great!! :)
