Well, I am now officially to the halfway point of the pre-op weight loss goal I have. This month I have lost a little more than 22 pounds and I weigh in again in the morning at the hospital. So, we will see what the scale says then.

Yesterday I vamped up my workout and I walked the water channel for 60 minutes which was a mile and a half. I have NEVER walked that far in or out of the water! I am thrilled. I will go back to the pool today to walk that mile and a half again.

I have dropped a clothing size (I am now a 6X instead of a 7X) and I have lost more than 6 inches.

I am working very hard on this diet and exercise situation. I really am enjoying reading about all of your progress. Keep it up! We are all going to be the biggest losers!!!

    Good for you Missy.

I started walking on vacation, but now I'm bike riding, much easier on the feet, plus it's so hot here biking allows you to excerise longer. My neighbor and I are going twice a day, once at 6 am and again around 7:30 pm. She wants to lose 20 pounds, I want to lose 100.

I haven't lost anymore, I'm hoping to see a drop here soon.

So far, the VA has said no to my request for weight loss surgery. Man I wish I had the money! Anyway, this puts me in the position of having to get it off myself. My therapist wants me to start journaling more. I have PTSD, 3 major deaths, weight issues, and rape/trauma syndrome. Lots to work on.

Yes you do Gwyn but know that you can do it. You have made it thru a lot and if you can do that you can do this too. It sounds like you are getting the help you need and know that we are here for you also. Together we can beat this weight issue! Hang on we can do it!

I have beaten it before, but it is a tough enemy. It always seems to come back. I think I am just tired of it. I know the other things will seem more manageable when I eat and exercise correctly. It is a little like Hamburger Hill. I battle my way to the top, and then it battles me back to the bottom.

Oh Gwyn! I am so sorry you are dealing with those issues. I can relate in some way in that I have schizophrenia and PTSD.

I will cheer you on in every way I can! You are an amazing person and you deserve nothing but the best! Believe me, if I had the money I sure as heck would give it to you so you could have the surgery!

Please take care of you and feel free anytime to PM me. I am always here for you!
