Hey, how is everyone doing? This first week was tough for me. Had a lot of cravings and the break room at work was full of sugar stuff all week. What was that about???

Anyway, I ended the week feeling pretty good. Now the weekend is tough for me because I am here by myself all day. Thought if I got on this board and left a message it would give me the shot in the arm I need.

Would like to hear how everyone else is doing...

    Toni

I just read in one of my books that breakfast should be BEFORE 8 a.m. to help with weight loss. That could explain why I've gained so much in the recent years... After I graduated from college... I don't get up and going that early on most days.

I had read that eating breakfast is essential in weight loss, but not that it had to be before 8 a.m. Are we sure that's not just someone's (like my husband's) diabolical plan to get us up early? I like to be up by that time, but I don't like to eat early. Yuk!

I'm like you Jude, I can't eat early in the morning. I will fix some breakfast and wrap it up and take it to work. Then I feel like eating around 9:30-10:00. I heard that you should eat breakfast within the first half hour of waking.

I agree Jude... my stomach doesn't wake up before 10a.m. When I was in elementary school. I hated eating breakfast before leaving for school..it made me physically ill. I think it probably was some evil minded person that made that statement. i just think that eating a donut with a coke isn't the best breakfast..

I'm doing pretty good. I have only got out to walk onece, I did about three miles. Mon. I'm off again walking. I bought a scale and I'm weighing myself everyother day. The good thing about getting a scale I was five pounds less than I believed I was.

I'm hoping by losing a bit of weight (75 lbs) my aches and pains will go down. My goal is 2 lbs a week.

I told my husband who needs to lose maybe 10 pounds, no chips or ice cream when he goes to the store. I don't buy them, but it's easy to eat when he brings them into the house.
