That's how I feel also Carol. Water weight or not a pound is a pound to me. Even water weight makes my pants not pinch quite so much. I am so grateful you guys are here I really needed a shot in the arm to get my health back to where it should be.

I am in! I have already lost 5.2 pounds since May 28th. I am on my way towards getting the gastric bypass so this would be a fun way to continue my weight loss journey.

I have lots of ideas for recipes and tips that have helped me to lose the 17.2 pounds that I have lost since April.

Woohoo! This is going to be fun!

I guess this thread is still opened.....I thought I losed it and had the link to the thread where we would continue to encourage ecah other ect. no one has posted there so I guess this is as good a place. I see there are people that didn't PM me that they were going to play. If you are in for the FQ's PLEASE PM me so I can put you on the list. It was suppose to be a weigh in from June 1 until June 30 so I hope everyone had their weight from June 1 written down.

    Have fun.................

OK, so what are the recipes? I need to lose a bit faster, but not to fast, or I'll be sagging like an old mattress.

The biggest thing I have learned from my dietician that I see every week is that I must eat all the protein my body needs. I am supposed to eat 70+ grams of protein a day. I have learned how to get the majority of it at breakfast then the rest at dinner or lunch.

There are 7 grams of protein in each serving (1 oz of fish/meat/chicken is a serving and 1 egg is a serving) . So this is my way of getting the amount I need:

    Breakfast:
    3 eggs
2 oz of shaved ham, chopped
any veggies in the fridge in any amount
    3 oz of 2% cheese

scramble the eggs in a bowl, add meat, veggies and cheese...
microwave for 3 minutes, stir and add salsa and fat free sour cream.

That is 8 servings of protein which equals to 56 grams.

Then my lunch is fruit and veggies...
Dinner is 4-5 ounces of meat, veggies and more fruit...
(So, there is another 28-35 grams of protein.)

I drink 4 to 5 half litres of water every single day...

Sometimes I order a "unwich" from our local jimmy johns...it is a sub sandwich without the bread or mayo...I order it with 3 oz of turkey, 2 slices of bacon, and triple the amount of all veggies offered on their menu. I then cut up the unwich into bite sized pieces and put it in a big bowl and add a low-cal lowfat dressing and have a HUGE salad composted of 5 servings of protein and all those "free" veggies...it tastes awesome and I am stuffed after I eat it!

I will have to think about what else I do...I am have a senior moment right now...LOL

    I hope this helps!

I just got home from my nutrition class that my dietician teaches at the hospital. I think the best thing I got from the class was that we need to plan our meals. Then shop according to the list and then take care of the food (like separating it into portion sizes BEFORE you put it away. Then when you want some fruit, for example, all you have to do is pull out a baggie of grapes (one surving = 17 grapes) and you are on your way and you won't be tempted to over eat.

I thought I would buy me a bottle of water from this little kiosk that does the froo froo coffees. Well, they do not sell bottles of water BUT they will sell you a cup of tap water for 11 cents. Now how crazy is that? Oh brother.

I am loving this challenge and I really hope I lose a lot this month. hehe I am daydreaming of petting all those fat quarters. Ahhh for the love of fabric!

I'm just sitting at the same weight I've been at....149 :( You'd think with all the sweating I do when working on the building I'd at least drop a couple of lbs. So frustrated... Battling allergies (cottonwood) and not losing any weight... double whammy
