Me too! Me too! (jumping up and down, waving my hand!) I have to lose about 20 - 25 lbs - should lose more but HAVE to lose 20 - 25 lbs to keep my blood sugars under control. Also DH had a heart attack two weeks ago and he has to lose weight as well so we are doing it together.

Some of us decided at the end of last months challenge that we would have high tea n the afternoon. It will make us feel special so we will us our china teapot and take the time just for us. Matt as a guy if you want to feel manly you could use a mug. (just teasing, I do that alot get use to it). Here is a recipe for Biscotti. I atlered the recipe so it is a no fat treat. I count calories and do weights and measures so I will list the calorie count. For those who don't know Biscotti in Italian means twice baked. These yummo biscuits are baked twice. HOWEVER they could be eaten after the first baking to have a soft cookie type of treat. After the first baking I am going to put half in a tin and then do the second baking for the other half. This way they will have 2 textures and seem like a different treat.

    Cranberry Orange Biscotti

    1 1/2 c flour
    1/2 c cornmeal
    1/2 c sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp salt
    3/4 tsp baking powder
    2 tbsp orange marmalade
    1/3 c dried cranberries

Heat oven to 350. In a bowl beat eggs and sugar until fluffy and pale yellow. Add the rest of the ingredents and beat until blended. This dough will be sticky. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Dump dough on sheet. Wet hand with water as the dough will stick to your hands if you don't. Shape dough into a loaf 16"x3". Bake abour 1/3 hour until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes. Using a sarrated knife cut into 1/2" slices. Now cut it the long way down the center. You should have 34 slices. This is the point where I don't re bake some. Put the cut side down back on the cookie sheet bake about 10 minutes until golden, flip them over and bake 10 minutes longer.
34 biscotti at 40 calories each.

    Hey thanks,
I'll have to give this a try.

After reading the list of names, perhaps we should warn NASA so when we all lose they can compensate for the reduction of weight on one place or another, If we all lose the typical 8-10 pounds, we would be short an entire big person! Get that water cold, I need a drink!
