I know the feeling. I am always happy when there are no Big Turk bars at the checkout! :-D
I am a sugaraholic and it is really hard for me too to get out of the store without buying a candy bar or box of candy. especially when it is on sale for under a dollar. (depends on the size) and it is even worse when dd is asking to get one. (she is how I used to be, almost under weight). just remember that you are trying to be healthier and that it is like poison for your body. that is what i have to do. i think that the sugar is rat poison, doesn't work every time but it helps.

Hi guys!! Here is today's recipe from the Hungry Girl. It is so yummy!!
    *********

    Bananas Foster Puddin' Parfait

    PER SERVING (entire recipe): 176 calories, 2.5g fat, 200mg sodium, 39.5g carbs, 1.75g fiber, 17g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTSŪ value 3*

Feel free to replace the pudding with fat-free vanilla yogurt or light vanilla ice cream for a totally different take on our BFF Bananas Foster. Woohoo!

    Ingredients:
One 60-calorie vanilla pudding snack (like the kind by Jell-O)
    1/2 large banana, chopped
1 tbsp. light or fat-free caramel dip (like the kinds by Marzetti)
    Optional: cinnamon

    Directions:
Spoon half of the pudding snack into a parfait glass (or any glass). Top with half of the chopped banana followed by half of the caramel dip.

Repeat layering with remaining pudding, banana, and caramel dip. If you like, sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon. Add a spoon and eat up!

    MAKES 1 SERVING

So I'm not sure how but...I've lost 7.2 lbs! I weighed myself this morning and I'm 7.2 lbs down from my starting weight on Sept. 1st. Wow! If I needed more motivation to stick with the no-sugar thing then this was it. :D

I like the visualization of butter, because a stick is a quarter of a pound and still significant in my eyes. So, even when you only lose a small amount thing of plopping that stick of butter on your hip. And as far as sweets go, you do stop craving them after a while of not having them, so hang in there!

I find it amazing that we all seemed to have been having problems losing weight however since starting the FQ prize along with everyone being so supportive we are all doing good. Maybe we are not losing as fast or as much as we would like to but we are not gaining either. If we gain a pound or 2 back and get discouraged we have everyone pick us up and we keep going on. I wonder if the reason is that we are able to come here and get all the hugs and support we need.

We are a great group and we should all pat ourselves on the back!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting very discouraged I lost 5lbs. the first wk. and nothing since then. I'm tracking what I eat and exercising 30 minutes a day. I want to go have a very fat cheesy pizza. To drown my sorrows.

Don't put yourself down! You are to valuable for that negative thought. Just get a lean cuisine pizza for one and keep on trying.

Just went to my first Weight Watchers at work meeting. Three of my co-workers joined with me - this will be helpful in forward efforts. I'm down 7lbs for the month so far. "If it is to be....it is up to me", but the support never hurts!
