Tru, I've never cooked a fresh one. A recipe would be helpful. I doubt if my Irish grandmother cooked them, either.

MJ, your crockpot chicken recipe is very good. I only added some garlic and cumin.

    Irish,
that sounds like a good suggestion. I love the ease of this recipe.

    Tru,
If your artichokes are as good as your brussel sprouts, I want the recipe. You always cook the best stuff.

    Good morning, everyone.
This is going to be a great day!

My friend and I are going to Tupelo, where she will be applying for a job. I'm just riding along for the sunshine and the chance to get out of the house.

It is really pretty here today, but cold.

I've stayed on my diet this morning, so far. No other news.

I love artichokes, can't eat them until Lent is over, I like them with butter sauce. (I gave up butter for Lent.)

Carrie, see if your daughter's migrains conincide with her menstrual cycle. Many time they are caused by horomones.

Hope all of those suffering have a joyous day today.

I'm going to the doctor. I took myself off of all medications. The heart medication with permission of the doctor. But the medication for cholesterol I didn't ask her about. I hope my levels are low enough and my heart strong enough that I can stay off of all medications. I should find out after my tests today.

Thanks for the info and tip.

I also had someone tell me, the other day, that she gained 50 lbs after her knee replacement surgery. OK, ladies, I cannot do that. I will NOT do that. I am on a weight loss journey and I will not let myself gain back the lbs I've lost nor the surgery hamper me from keeping on with my losing. I will do whatever exercises and movement I can do, while recouping from this surgery. Sandy
I am sure it would be easy to gain a lot of weight while recooperating. But you are better than that. You will not just sit there and feel sorry for yourself and eat. You will be successful. Just remember you will have a new knee and you want to give it less weight to support not more.

Good morning, after 2 1/2 weeks of sunny warm weather it is sleeting. I had to go to the store and about went into shock because it is sooo cold out.

Carol please let us know what your Dr. says.
My DD has been on the pill for a while now but I think it needs to be changed because it has made her over emotional and could be the cause of the migraines.

MJ don't you go and have too much fun out there running around. :-).

Tru where is that recipe. I love artichokes. I like to boil them and eat them with mayo. Yummy!!
