We use Scott’s 1000. It lasts longer than the thick, linty stuff.

I have a really funny story about this!
I always bought Scott b/c my Mom did. Well when my boys went to away to college they started complaining about my "rough" toilet tissue. I told them they were being babies. Fast forward- I bought different brands and lo and behold my kids were right!! I will never buy that brand again haha!!!
Right now I'm using Costco's brand and like it.

I started using Angel Soft when I lived in my trailer because it was one of the few I could find that were septic safe and had a nice feel to it.

My mother always insisted on using Charmin, and constantly had issues with the toilet getting clogged (not a septic system, just an old house with fussy plumbing). When I moved in, I switched her to Angel Soft. She is rather stubborn, but surprisingly, her fussing was minimal. Best off, I haven't had to do any plunging since.

With Rv's there are a couple things to think about. Will the paper dissolve? Will it absorb too much liquid and not flow out the sewer hose? Are they using enough water in the black tank? Wipes cannot go into the black tank, even if flushable.

The dissolve test is to put a jobs worth of sheets in a mason jar, add water and shake, how quickly does it dissolve? If it does not dissolve you will have problems. Many RVers put wet paper into a garbage can if they want to use a softer brand. Some RVers make the mistake of not putting enough liquid into the black tank, which can lead to a number of disasters. Some men pee outside to avoid filling the tank too quickly, but that causes other problems.

In my family when we had an RV, I was equally responsible for the outside jobs, including draining the tanks. We used Kirkland paper from Costco and never had an issue.

An Rv system is a whole different issue it is usually either Scotts or RV tp. you have to use something that disolves so won't clog the system I don't like either on very much but when we are camping in the RV I do use it. I will use their restroom durning the day.

Here's an article that compares many of the brands
    https://www.yourbestdigs.com/reviews/best-toilet-paper/

I'm big on recycling and recycled products so it is said the softer the paper, the harder on the environment ....if that's a concern. No judging, we all do our part in some way.

Scotts, that is the one my plumber recommended after my husband stopped the toilet up three times in one month. no more problems after I bought that brand.

Interesting discussion - I think no matter the ratings we will all have our own preferences. We have been using Costco Kirkland brand for a couple of years and are both happy with it. It hasn't messed up any plumbing for us
