We had fun at the pumpkin patch. They didnt give the kids donuts or cider but they did give them each their choice of an apple or a little baggie of candy. There were 30 five year olds and only 2 of the kids chose the candy. All of us adults were really surprised. But we think they chose the apples as the employee from the farm picked each childs apple off of an apple tree while the kids all watched. He was a big huge indian man up on top of a ladder and the kids were all telling him what apple they wanted and he would do his best to get the apples they wanted. The kids had so much fun. Then after they each found their own pumpkins out in the cabbage patch, we all go back on the hay wagon and got a ride back to the fruit stand and then went to a "hay maze" as the corn maze got destroyed by wind so the farm hurried and made a hay maze for the kids. And then on the way back to school, the bus stopped at a park and they all had lunch and got to play on the playground for about an hour. Totally wore those 5 year olds out.

That sounds like so much fun for both the adults and kids.

Such a cute story :) My daughter (1st grade) gets to go on her field trip to the pumpkin patch in the morning and she's very excited. They have so much fun at this age.
