It's at my Mom's house - offered up to the wardrobe of the local theater group. Mine is blue - not white.

My daughter was married in it and now it belongs to her.
it fit her perfectly - no alterations needed.

Mine is in a box upstairs somewhere.....I think. It's a short, black with white polka dots shirt waist dress with matching belt.

Just for the record I lived the dream. I got married at Graceland chapel in Las Vegas with a fake Elvis singing in the background.

Mines in a box in the closet since 1970. We moved a few times and sometimes it disappears for awhile. Cry every time, but it keeps coming back. Good omen or bad I don't know

Mine was stored in the attic for 23 years but DD did take it out & try it on every once in awhile. I was surprised 3 years ago when she asked if she could be married in it. My parents were both gone by then, so it was kind of a connection back to them watching her walk in, very special!

I feel really bad that she kept her dress for me and I don't even want to wear it...
My niece hated her mother's dress too but they reused some of the fabric in her dress and both were happy with the decision!
I think that's what I'm going to do also... We're making a christening gown for my son, but there's no way we will be using the whole thing. I plan to use at least part of her dress at my wedding.

Mine was in the closet waiting for my daughter to wear it, but the house burned...anyway she's not the same shape I was when I got married, (4-5 inches shorter and a 14 instead of a 12) so it would have needed serious alteration and I haven't seen bonded crepe in many many years! Anyway, she wants a renaissance style dress, not victorian.

:( What dress :( Didn't have one...we eloped and wore regular clothing... I had grey pinstripe slacks and a matching top...DH wore navy slacks and a blue plaid shirt ...Sure wish that those things still fit both of us :( That was almost 30 years ago and no daughters to have given it to anyway. (Mom never had a wedding gown either)
