I am a buyer for a packaging distributor. I live right in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley and a lot of our customers are in the agricultural business.

I run an in-home embroidery business. Some days I think I should get off the "make money off the machine" mindset & embroider something for fun :)

What a concept, embroider something for fun and maybe for us??

I do a lot of random embroidery for friends and co-workers, never anything substantial so I don't charge but if they insist on something, I tell them to buy me a Starbucks card!

Guess what I am! Burned out after 40 plus years of exactly what everyone has been speaking about. I moved to a two bed home and work part time. I absolutely love what I do.Death and dying has its downside but it is bedside nursing at its best. I love the one on one experience...it is very rewarding.

Me? Well, I bum off my hubby :) LOL!

But before I was diagnosed with a brain tumor 7 years ago, I managed the I/T Quality Assurance Team for Dell. Before that, I did programming in I/T. I worked for Hospice while working my way through school, and that was an experience I've never forgotten - and the most rewarding job I've ever had. My favorite and longest patient was a woman with a brain tumor...how ironic!

So now, I call myself a bum. But I'm not really...it's a joke in our family as I have always worked, since I was 16, and loved it, plus raising my two daughters (13 years apart) and volunteering for everything that came along for those two. I love being a Mom and a Wife, more than anything.

Now I'm a Mimi, take good care of myself, and enjoy every single day that I open my eyes and see the sun :)

I am a respiratory therapist working the night shift at a huge hospital, I'm also a certified master groomer (dogs), and have a degree in entomology. All the health care comments on here are very interesting, why can't management see what they are doing to us down here in the trenches?

That's takes a little while to figure out what to do with the time. But you'll get there!
