Golly Gee - I don't do a darn thing! Everyone has great jobs, careers and stuff and I don't do a darn thing. Get up, let out the dog, make breakfast, let out the dog, vacuum, dust, let out the dog, oh, I also let her in, threatening her all the time now because she has chosen to do her thing and then wrap herself around the clothespole and stand there like a dork and bark, which makes me the dork-ee because I go out there, leash in hand and unhook her from one chain on to another and she is so excited to get into the house that she wants to go out again and do it all over (and it is cold out there), then I make lunch, plan supper, go out to take care of errands with my husband, come home, let the dog out, and take care of telephone calls, try to get a little sewing in every now and again, oh, let the dog out! Did I mention washing, folding and ironing? OK, I won't! Seriously, I love this life. I did my work many years ago and wouldn't trade any day for anything. I don't get paid, but the fringe benefits are great! Edie

well- I aspire to the retire status! That's my goal- to join the ranks of the retired and really enjoy life. I have a bucket list a mile long. Retirement can't get here soon enough.

And for you domestic goddesses- how I wish I could have been a stay at home mom- it's the best job on earth!

We retired in 2003 closing our real estate appraisal firm in Southern California and traveling the country for a year in our RV.

Then we could see that it was time to be here in Bowling Green to look after DH elderly parents. His Dad passed in July and now it's just 88 y.o. MIL to look after.

Maybe a lot more RVing when she is gone.

Retired from medical research at a university. Now I'm busier than when I worked. My sis and i have a ministry of fixing up old sewing machines and giving them to women who cannot afford to purchase one.

I am a retired junior high special education teacher (mainly language arts -- reading, writing) -- I retired last year and love the freedom and time to try and do all the projects that catch my fancy and all those things that need to be done

I am officially a Systems Specialist. I manage/administrate the telephone systems for a company of about 1000 people. I set up phones and voicemail for new users, do terminations, password resets, and Call Center applications (only incoming, we don't call customers and they're all in-house, not outsourced).

I'm on the spot when something is wrong like circuits being down (major stress!). I write user instructions and answer questions like, "How do I set my voicemail that I'm on vacation." I troubleshoot problems and replace equipment.

Basically just day-to-day making sure everyone's phone rings. :)

First and foremost I am a mom to a beautiful 4.5 year old little girl but in my spare time I am a CFO for a credit union. I love both jobs because one pays in hugs, kisses and I love yous', and the other in dollars to pay the bills and support my quilting addiction lol
It has been great reading about everyone!

I am a Mommy to a fabulous 7 month old little boy!!!

Once my maternity leave ends next Spring I will be returning to my job as an assistant to 12 Housing Officers. I work with the provincial government where we provide housing to low income families... I suppose in one sense I am an assistant to property managers. I love my job!!! No two days are the same. I mostly work in lease renewals.

Taken Oct. 30th. see those little pearly whites!!!
