You are the second woman I've met on a board who is working towards the same career goal. Interesting.

I am a retired RN. Was a stay at home mom until my youngest started school. Took a refresher course and returned to nursing, and then spent 30 years working in the local hospital. I have worked in ER,ICU,Med-Surg,OR and PACU. I avoided OB and the Nursery if possible. Now I spend time sewing, quilting and just general mundane chores of day to day living.

I'm an Administrative Asst. for the Texas Highway Patrol, looking forward to retirement in Oct. 2012, close, yet so far away.

I just retired after 31 years as a pediatric physical therapist. Loved those kids, but am not missing all of the red tape. Am learning what to do with my time.

I am a high school teacher (certified to teach Chemistry, Biology, Spanish, Italian and Physics), an adjunct University professor and a translator (Spanish, Italian) I also do freelance writing since the big publishing houses keep rejecting my fiction. I'll keep trying with that too though.

Before moving to northern New Hampshire, I was production manager for newspapers. I have also worked in ad agencies, a real estate office, as well as helping a dear friend run a bookstore for 20 years, when I wasn’t doing my newspaper work.
Currently I am semi-retired and work from home p/t for 2 small town newspapers, doing production work (ad make up and putting together e-pages). When I'm not working I'm quilting/sewing, reading and going antiquing.

Upholsterer/Seamstress retired. Never been one to be scared of getting my hands dirty.

I retired at the young age of 37.

Now I have the best job on the world........Being the wife of a man who makes me laugh.
