My husband always complain about my fabrics and the number of sewing machines I have. I told him that I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't party or go out with other wives (unless they are quilters) my only vice is quilting. It truly relaxes me and I could be in my own little world. I guess some people don't understand it.

Remind them that it's your world, you find a lot of enjoyment from the a craft you like, woulld you like to only visit them at there home? So they don't have to see it when "Visiting" *your* "Home"... and the only time anything gets to be said is when your no longer around then they can complain all they want....

Agree to disagree and when they bring it up remind them it's not a topic you'll discuss, let them know it can be a larger supply ;)
LOL might even be fun to tell them every time you speak to them, or they get on you tail about it....you don't have time to chat your going to the fabric store :)

I have one that complains about the time I spend quilting. I don't understand it he's 15 what does he want me to do???

Let it run off like water off the back of a duck.

Sweet Lady, As long as you are Happy in your world (mine too) then dont let ANYONE tell you different. Maybe they are jealous that you are spending their inheritance. Just kidding. I told my kids along time ago, it was my goal to leave them a quilt with no money. So far I am right on track.

My husband also collects LP's, we should get them together and you can join me in my sewing room

Just ignore them. Not their business! Now, if you were buying fabric instead of putting clothes on them or dinner on the table, that would be quite different. I suspect that's not the case, though!! :)

Just a thought!
Tell them it is none of their business! Ignore them!
