I only have trouble sleeping at home. I can sleep wonderfully at friends or families houses, in hotels, on planes and trains, anywhere but my own home. I have tried cocoa, reading, warm baths, whatever, no luck. So I suggest first checking to see if its a physical problem, then maybe stress. Please let us all know how you progress. :)

I take a 3mg Melatonin tablet and use foam ear plugs, I sleep like a baby. about one or two nights a month I can't stay asleep. I try to go to bed every night about the same time, if I wake I lay there until I go back to sleep. I haven't slept this much in about 20 yr.s No nightmares either, I only take 3mg.

My system got totally screwed up several years ago after working shift work and crappy home life. I've tried a lot of different meds, natural remedies-what works for me is Ambien 5mg and amitriptylline 100 mg. My doctor said the Ambien will help you get to sleep and the other will help you stay asleep longer. My greatest sympathy to those that don't sleep well-it is beyond miserable.

Well here we are. I have been having trouble getting to sleep however once I do get to sleep I stay asleep. I am just thinking about the family. I own a bookkeeping business and need more clients. Hubby's business partner may be leaving. Son may be moving across country.....
