This year my favorite was that my two grandsons (ages 12 & 10) decided they were coming home with me Thanksgiving night and we were going to do the tree. This is a first as they have never been interested before so the weekend before Thanksgiving I cancelled my other plans to put up my tree. It is my tradition to start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I usually start by taking all my fall decorations down and putting them away but this year because the boys came home with me I had to do it backwards and pull my Christmas stuff out first to get to my tree. You could not walk into any one room of my house without running into decorations and boxes. Did I mind, not at all, the grand kids grow up so fast that I want to enjoy them while I can.
