I miss my upstairs bedroom I would go up and sit and dream about the future. I could play my record player. Watch my fish swimmimg around in their tank. ( I was surprized that dad and mom let me have a pet] They weren't pet people. I miss playing in the nearby city park. Because of the number of baby boomer kids you always had a friend to play with. We played all day until you heard parents calling their kids home for supper. In the park we had a hill to sled ride on. When I was little it seemed to be a very big hill. But now I look at it boy it wasn't that big after all. I miss my friends because we never stayed in touch. And most of all I miss my parents because they did so much for my older sister,my older brother and for me. They are gone but not forgotten.

I miss the safe days when you could leave your doors and windows unlocked and breathe the fresh air at night!I miss the penny candy and the nickel cokes. I miss the family outings at the drive inns.I sure don't miss those old black and white saddle oxfords that never seemed to wear out!!

I miss My grandmother who raised me from a baby. She gave up her whole life for me.

When I was a child we played in the streets, rode our bikes then at night we used to catch lightning bugs and wonder how they lit up in the jars.

we walked to town never had a car.

    That was a life.

We had a singer treadle sewing machine too! Which I still have it.

I wish she was still here with me. I truly miss her alot.

I miss my parents, the fun I had with two little sisters, eating meals around a big round table, and my Mother's big fluffy biscuits with butter dripping from them.

I miss summer afternoons swimming in Lake Michigan, exploring ravines, fantasy play, my dad tossing me up in the air when he'd come back from a business trip, and doing puzzles with Grandma... and mostly I miss having the time and freedom to do things like that.
