I love the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing with Aloe. I am sensitive to the anibacterial soap. It makes my hands crack and bleed. Ouch!So I also switched to Dove Deep Moisture body wash instead of regular soft soap for my hands. It is amazing the difference. My mom even switched to the combo when she was caring for my dad before he died. Her hands quit bleeding, too and healed up.

i use some stuff i got that is breastfeeding moms.. my hubby got it for me when we had our youngest son but i never needed it. works pretty good. i think it's probably similar to the 'udder cream' someone else already mentioned.

This is just about pure lanolin. And I know you're right! It's a natural ingredient for using on hands and feet that dry out and crack. You can't find much better than this

jacqstash ... Hmmm Cetaphil lotion for a moisturizer? Never heard that b4, but I do use it nightly as a mild face cleanser, it IS gentle on the skin.

Get yourself a pair of those white cotton gloves (at a theater supply company). Pour some extra virgin olive oil into your hands and rub it in (elbows, too), especially into your nails. Put the gloves on and sleep with them. At first it feels strange, but you'll get used to it. It soaks in pretty quickly, so you won't get your sheets and blankets all oily.

Aveeno hand lotion for extremely dry skin----it works--I have tried everything else and either it does not work or is way too greasy---I can put this on and work with fabric immediately and none comes off on the fabric---no more dry hands, feet, etc in the winter or any other time for me.

Several brands make a variety with Collagen & Vitamin E, but your problem sounds more serious than just dry hands. Please consider a collagen-Vit C-Vit E-Vit D3 supplement. Anything that would strengthen your immune system would be beneficial. Try leaving off all oils except olive oil, coconut oil, and butter for a while, and see if that helps. We all have too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3. Probiotics might also be helpful. A hand problem is not just a hand problem - it's a whole-system problem.

I'm so glad to see this discussed. I have psoriasis, or exzema, my Doctor hasn't made up his mind. Anyway, a friend gave me some psoriasin which has coal tar in it. It works real fast to clear up the cracks. I'll try some of these creams too. Thanks for bringing this up.
