Sometimes he talks to me like I'm a child and can be kind of an a@* . When he drives he gives it gas then takes his foot off the gas and the car slows down. He does this over and over.
Other then that he came well trained in all the house hold duties. For the most part he's a pretty good guy.

Its like he just moved in! can never find anything BUT he never puts things back where they belong, and I am a neat freak so it gets a little tough somedays! but in all fairness his good qualities out weigh the bad ones,

Long list, after 52 yr you give up. Leaving dirty dishes in sink instead of putting them in the dishwasher. I hate to have to do this before I can fix a meal. Next walking around in his underwears as my DGD says. Lastly thinking I know where he leaves all his junk.

Gotta love him though, because I am spoiled rotten.

Once my DH couldn't find his linemans pliers. So, of course, he accused me of taking them. I don't even know what they are and what I would do with them! I had to help him look for them in the basement, garage, shed, etc. I finally found them for him...in his back pocket!!!! He accused me of putting them there!!!!!!!

I also ditto the talking with food in his mouth, unable to find anything, repeating things to me til I want to scream.

Another time he asked for the zillionth time where his socks were. They have been in the same dresser drawer for over 40 years. I said the grey, white, blue and brown were in the drawer but the red and green were hanging on the gutter for Christmas decorations. He looked as me like I was bookers, but I thought it was funny.

When I was gone for 3 months he survived on his 4 food groups: beef sticks, candy bars, ice cream and beer. Oh, yes he can cook, we have friends and restaurants nearby, but he said he was just fine. Gotta love 'em :)

My husband, of 42 years, chomps loudly when he eats. It bothers my daughter so much that she won't sit at the dinner table. He has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's so I enjoy every minute I have with him. Even when asks the same question over and over.

Are you sure your husband doesn't have another wife in Missouri?--LOL! I don't even try to tell him better methods any more. I just shake my head & walk away. He knows where to find me when it doesn't work & then usually gripes at me that I should have stopped him before he wasted his time like it was all my fault.

He also tries to re-invent my methods when he catches me working on my projects which can lead to hours or even days wasted while he figures out the perfect tool to make my project easier. Uh, huh. This usually involves several trips to the hardware store, design sketches and me waiting for the weekend to be over so he'll go to work and I can just finish whatever I was working on before Mr. Fix-it decided to make my life easier. I try to only work on my projects while he is otherwise engaged/entertained.

On a positive note: He loves new gadgets so when he wandered into my sewing room one day & saw me cutting circles with a circle cutter--he promptly took possession of it and finished cutting out all the denim circles I needed to make his quilt. My hands & wrists were getting very tired after cutting the first 25 of the 120 I needed.

Also, if I want something done--like cutting a hole in my sewing desk for my machine to fit into--he's rip roaring ready to do it. Especially if it might involve the purchase of a new gadget or tool. They never outgrow the love of new toys!

Mine has a few bad habits, as do I, but he goes along with me to quilt shows and fabric shops, patiently totes fabric to be cut, makes appropriately admiring noises about the quilts at the shows and has even learned to recognize terms like "Mctavishing." I think he's great--but then we've been a pair for about 50 years.

My DH is a sweetheart. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't do things to irritate me!
My biggest complaint....he seldom puts things away after he uses them. His "man cave" is a nightmare! I've been needing to clean in there but untill he is ready to help I won't do it. His workshop is even worse. You would swear someone broke in and ransacked the place!
He also leaves doors and drawers open and hogs the bed at night. But on the plus side, he is always willing to help me with anything I need done, he supports me in everything I do, and he will rub my back even if I wake him up in the middle of the night to do it! He never complains about anything I do, so I don't seriously complain about him........
