What else can we call it??...
... when we want to refer to someones's beautiful quilting project?
Beautiful "work", "job"? Can we think of words that "take the work out of it!?" Although those words explain what we do, it just seems a little bit negative. LOL
I, and many others quilt for pleasure and fun, enjoying every stitch, even binding! I'd just like to think of words of congratulation even though some parts may have been "work".
This is just for fun, but maybe we can think of some really good ones!

"Work", as in 'work of art', not digging ditches, lol.
You could also use:
execution
interpretation
expression
effort (sounds condescending tho)
Funny, but the way I feel about the term 'job' is like you feel about 'work'. "Good job" sounds somehow condescending, like you managed to stay in the lines while coloring.

I couldn't of said any better. To me it shows appreciation of the effort it takes to make the project. What I feel is negative is when someone asks if you can whip up a project for them for free or for very little compensation.

All quilting is art to me! Every single quilt is different, the fabric choices are unique, size, shape, quilting - lots of decisions go into making any quilt, there for creative, therefore all quilts are art.
