I saw Bobby Vinton play at Lakeside Ballroom in the late 70's in Guttenberg, Iowa. He sang Red Rubber Ball many times for us. He still was really good. I also saw Joey Dee and The Starlighters too and sang Peppermint Twist. They couldn't sing anymore.

My first record was a 45 bought at the Redford's dime store in Chattanooga, TN. It was "Precious and Few" by Climax. My brother brought home the first record ( that was not my parents) that I owned was "Abraham, Martin, and John" by Canned Heat. I still have these 45's.
