Not your usualy light summer reading but vital information. "The Road to Serfdom" by V. Hayeck. A real eye opener.

Has anyone read the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon? I am about to start it. They say it is addictive.

Anyone a Catherine Coulter fan? I'm reading her book Knock Out now.

For those who don't know her, she writes both crime thrillers and romances. Her FBI series has had romance in most of the books, at least the earlier ones. Later books have had some ESP in them, which I just love reading about.

I just started the new Elizabeth George mystery. After she killed off a favorite character, two books back , I was boycotting her.
But I saw this book yesterday at the library and have to find out what has happened to the hero! I cannot plough through these like Nora Roberts, but they are very good. If you like a complex mystery, start at the first one.

I'm just finishing State Fair by Earlene Fowler. Before that was The Aloha Quilt, next will be Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. I've been on the library waiting list for these 3 books, my 3 favorite book series' and the latest books of each one. :)

A few months back I read Angry Housewives Eating Bon-Bons. Although it was set before my time and fiction, it was an interesting view of young wives/mothers back in the '60's. It's about a group of friends in the early 60's and follows them through their trials and through the years until the late 90's. I was crying at the end, but really worth reading. :)
