    It think you're all right. Odd thing is usually zucchini vines die in my yard from vine borers. And there was no other fruit in sight. Guess this was the only flower to get pollinated.

    Looks like a hybrid reverting to its "roots", so to speak. Peel and cube it and simmer in hot water for a few minutes until a fork can easily pierce it. Drain, slather with melted butter, and let us salivate along with you.

    I actually just made a pot of sauce from the last of the tomatoes in the yard, so I might cube it and use over pasta for next Friday night's meatless dinner ... although there are still some eggplant in the front yard ... mmmmm! But I think there is more than enough on that puppy for both sautee and sauce!
